Kendrick Lamar has been announced as the headliner for the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, set to take place on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

Lamar made the announcement in a promotional video, confirming his performance for one of the most highly anticipated events of the year.

The 2025 event, officially branded as the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, will see Lamar’s creative collective, pgLang, taking charge of the performance’s creative direction.

The show is being produced by Diversified Production Services, with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and Jesse Collins as executive producers. Hamish Hamilton will direct the telecast, and Roc Nation is also serving as the strategic entertainment advisor for the live performance.

Jay-Z praised Kendrick Lamar in a statement, calling him a “once-in-a-generation artist and performer” whose influence on culture extends beyond music adding that “his impact will be felt for years to come.”

Lamar, who previously performed in the Super Bowl LVI halftime show alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and other hip-hop legends, expressed excitement about his return to the Super Bowl stage.

“Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one,” Lamar said in a statement.

The 2025 performance follows a long tradition of star-studded Super Bowl halftime shows. Earlier this year, Usher headlined the event in Nevada, bringing out artists like Alicia Keys, Ludacris, and Lil Jon.

Fans and music lovers alike are eagerly anticipating Lamar’s halftime show, which is expected to be a defining moment in the 2025 Super Bowl experience.
