Kevin Liles, the influential chairman and CEO of 300 Entertainment, has announced his decision to step down at the end of September 2024.

In an internal memo, Liles confirmed that while leaving the CEO role, he will continue as a consultant through the year.

Warner Music Group CEO Robert Kyncl praised Liles for his leadership and confirmed there would be no direct replacement for his position, with Rayna Bass, Selim Bouab, and Gregg Nadel continuing to lead.

Liles co-founded 300 Entertainment in 2015 with Lyor Cohen, Todd Moscowitz, and Roger Gold, helping to develop major hip-hop acts like Megan Thee Stallion, Young Thug, and Migos.

Warner Music acquired the label in 2021 and later integrated it into 300 Elektra Entertainment Group in 2022.

Amidst these changes, Warner Music Group has seen other leadership transitions, including the departure of Max Lousada and Julie Greenwald. Liles reflected on 300’s success, saying, “The cultural impact we created in 10 years when starting from scratch is simply unmatched in the modern era.”
